Evidence-based practice in nursing involves providing holistic, quality care based on the most up-to-date research and knowledge rather than traditional methods, advice from colleagues, or personal beliefs (American Nurses Association, n.d.). Instead, integrating theory and clinical research into decision-making processes can enhance the quality of care provided. According to American Nurses Association (n.d.) improving patient care begins by asking how you can make it a safer, more compassionate, and personal experience. 

EBP implementation is recommended in clinical settings as it has been attributed to promoting high-value health care, improving the patient experience and health outcomes, as well as reducing health care costs (Cardoso et al., 2021). It also ensures that interventions are grounded in research, promoting transparency and accountability in healthcare delivery.
