            The nursing industry is faced with unending changes and evolution. As such, nurses need to advance their skills and knowledge to stay abreast with transformation in the nursing practice (Vardaman et al., 2020). This practicum experience made me realize that dependence on usual healthcare models leads to many challenges in care provision in many healthcare settings.  As such, nurses need to migrate to new practice approaches to improve healthcare provision and enhance patient outcomes. There are various new practice approaches that nurses need to consider adopting. The first new approach is the utilization of evidence-based practice (EBP). EBP is among the top mainstay of nursing practice because it promotes the use of the best available evidence to guide patient healthcare (Kim et al., 2020). The other crucial new practice approach is the use of technology to enhance patient care processes and outcomes, changing to value-based payment methods to reduce cost and enhance the quality of care, provision of culturally competent care, and promotion of patient autonomy.

               My strengths regarding consideration of new practice approaches in nursing practice is flexibility and enthusiasm to embrace transformations in the nursing field and apply them to improve my clinical practice. I always show eagerness to embrace changes in nursing practice because I understand that patients’ healthcare needs are diverse and constantly changing. However, my weakness in accepting new practice approaches in nursing practice is uncertainty and lack of confidence.
