A summary of Strengths and Opportunities

            As previously stated, it is critical to examine both strengths and possibilities for growth when developing a suitable plan. As a result, after evaluating the national certification examinations, I identified areas of strength as well as places for progress. Pharmacology and physical examination across the lifespan, particularly among older patients, were one of the strengths I noted. Furthermore, I discovered that I have skills in changing mental status, physical history, evaluation, and interviewing. On the other side, I’ve observed that I need to do better in terms of treating youngsters and younger people. This might be due to a lack of familiarity with youngsters and the younger demographic. I also need to work on my genomes, epigenetics, neuroanatomical, and neurophysiology skills. The accurate use and selection of several instruments, such as the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) scale, Dsm – v, and the Adverse Childhood Experiences International Questionnaire, are also included (ACE-IQ).

Goals and Tasks

Goal 1: Exercise self-control by being obedient to my study plan and reading a range of resources to help me be ready for my certification exam.

  To pass my PMHNP certification exam, I need to maintain track of my progress. Every week, I will continue to monitor, evaluate, and assess whether or not I am meeting the aforementioned goals and obligations. Once I conclude my rewrite, I will jot down my successes and areas that need work on the themes covered that day, and I will set aside time to review such difficulties (Delaney, 2019). As a consequence, I will be able to evaluate my progress while I study for the exam and determine if I am on the correct track. Even as I prepare to receive a master’s degree from Walden University, I will assess the university’s goals and objectives to determine if I have reached them. I will evaluate each course separately, focusing on the homework, exams, discussions, and assessments for the courses I have already completed (Ma et al., 2021). One of the specific tools I want to utilize for my study plan is the PMHNP Review Manual, which I intend to study via the weekly required reading and practice test throughout my three periods of PRAC 6665 (Speight et al., 2019). When these classes are over, I will keep working on the things I didn’t finish. I need a tool like the PMHNP Resource Manual to help me understand mental diagnoses and treatment options better. In my last course, I will organize discussion groups with other students to go through some of the readings together and test our understanding of particular subjects. Due to my close connections with other students and Walden University, the study group will be feasible. I will gather a group of four to six students so that we may conduct our talks using Zoom and Microsoft Teams (Coppa & Barcelos Winchester, 2020). We will also have time to look through any ANCCA-approved online resources that might aid with the certification examinations.

Conclusion

To summarize, the problem is not in making a study plan, but in sticking to it and using the resources at hand to accomplish the objectives set in preparation for my national exam.
