Although I know that every state has their own laws, I did not realize that the scope of practice for NP’s could vary so much, from restricted to full practice authority, working under a physician or working independently, and so forth. Writing the AP Professional Development Plan paper was very helpful in better understanding m future requirements and responsibilities as an NP.
The second topic I found to be very interesting and important was the Area of Interest PowerPoint. I am very passionate about the mental health field, and I know there are so many opportunities for improvement and growth that I didn’t know where to start. This project helped me narrow the options down to a specific opportunity and it really piqued my interest as an area I may want to focus on in my career. I am looking forward to building upon the topic in future courses.
The third topic I found interesting was incivility and healthful environments. I also need to start taking better care of myself as well. Eating better, exercising, and taking a purposeful moment for myself will help to ease some stress and feel rejuvenated. I plan to try and reach out more, and I am always here to help anyone else.
