The Selected Issue

In the delivery of health care services, nursing leaders who exercise servant leadership grapple with conflicts among health care workers and then struggle when it comes to resolving them. According to Yang (2017), conflicts commonly occur among nurses across various health care settings but the dynamics of contemporary care has exacerbated them. A quintessential example of such a conflict involves feuding between day shift nurses and night time nurses as it relates to the allocation of duties as well as absence of communication from the relevant parties.
