Management instituted the proposal as a trial and immediately noted positive changes. Staff overtime decreased, nurses were glad to be clocking out at the time their shift ended, and nurses were able to complete their charting versus continuing care while awaiting for shift report to end. I was astatic with the change, as were 99 percent of the staff.
