Malnutrition increases morbidity and mortality, impairs mental health and increases the spread of communicable diseases (Adeoya et al., 2022). Secondly, they facilitate access to safe blood, reducing mortality rates from accidents or life-threatening conditions. Additionally, safe blood will reduce the transmission of blood-borne pathogens. Lastly, the counselling services offered by the organization facilitates improved mental well-being and better-coping mechanisms among individuals affected by disasters or the armed forces and their families (Kola et al., 2021).
