Part 1: Writing Sample: The Connection between Academic and Professional Integrity

In order for the learning process to be successful, academic integrity is essential. Academic honesty is a necessary component of learning. It permits someone to grow a sense of integrity and dependability when interacting with various activities. Academic honesty and writing have a direct relationship. Academic writing frequently presents a problem during the learning process or while enrolled in a course because of the steps and procedures that must be followed. When writing for an academic audience, one must draw from prior work done by others while also avoiding plagiarism (Walden University Academic Skills Center, n.d). In other words, the act of writing itself demands that the author create something unique. Academic integrity is frequently upheld during the writing process when another person’s words, ideas, or work have been used by the author or writer. The aforementioned situation permits a person to uphold the discipline standard and the institution that they represent. Therefore, academic integrity should be upheld throughout the writing process to guarantee the validity and authenticity of the work (Walden University Academic Skills Center, n.d). On the other hand, there is a close connection between academic ethics and professional activities. To ensure a high level of integrity in the work being done, scholarly ethics should always be implemented in various professional settings. People must always uphold scholarly ethics in order to keep their level of professionalism high.

The full range of implicit and explicit professional traits and norms that characterize an ethical scholarly community are referred to as scholarly ethics. The integrity and everything that adds value to the educational process are frequently the foundations on which a scholarly community rests the notion of scholarly ethics. The scholarly ethics are upheld by high levels of professionalism or professional activities. Professional conduct frequently calls for conformity to the moral standards that govern all actions (Glasper, 2016). The scholarly ethics are connected to the ethical standards.

Grammarly, Safe Assign, and para support academic integrity in various ways. Grammarly frequently checks to ensure that phrases are used correctly and in accordance with writing conventions. Scholarly ethics frequently requires the use of best writing techniques. Academic integrity entails adhering to an efficient writing process that is defined by a regulated framework (Glasper, 2016). Paraphrasing, on the other hand, encourages uniqueness in the writing process and thus aids in the avoidance of plagiarism, which promotes a high level of academic integrity. Furthermore, SafeAssign eliminates instances of pointless plagiarism, which promotes academic integrity and writing ethics.
