Question Description
Setting a Budget
All types of organizations offering human services—whether government, for-profit, nonprofit, or mixed (cross-sector)—are defined by their mission. Critical to implementing the mission is the financial or budgetary framework designed to match the goals, objectives, and tasks expected for achieving the mission.A budget is the first major policy framework for an organization that determines what is functionally possible for the organization to operate. Budgets determine what types and numbers of personnel, travel, communications, and indirect activities (such as accounting, telecommunications, professional development, insurance, and other such organizational needs) will be possible and at what levels of magnitude. In other words, an organization is creatively energized by critical thinking and a strong mission, but it is only able to function if it has the financial resources to match the professional and technical capabilities needed to carry out the mission.

Give one example of each from the human services perspective.Your post must:
Be at least 250 words.
Contain a minimum of one reference with citation in APA style.
Follow APA style guidelines.
RESPONSE GUIDELINES
Respond to at least one other learner’s perspective regarding a change model and its relevance to human services.Your response must be substantive and contribute to the discussion. Compare your analysis to that of your peer and comment on the similarities and differences that you see. If there are aspects that you do not agree with, present an argument to support your position. If you need more information from your peer, be sure to ask questions for clarity.

Executive Summary
The reports regarding various aspects such as financial statements, feedback reviews, and club reports will be handled after every two weeks. The budgetary amount required for the strategic plan is estimated to be around five hundred dollars. This amount is divided into the expenses that will be used to facilitate the planning process, the amount used to pay suppliers for the commodities needed, and the final amount required to pay the club’s staffing team. Resource commitments for strategic planning will include financial resources, human resources, and physical resources. The other types of resources that can be utilized for the operation include the skills that members have and their time.
Adequate management of both resources and time will lead to a successful result; the plan will contain a clear guideline on how funds will be used as well as the associated activities. Enhancing all relevant stakeholders’ engagement in achieving the objectives set will help make the work easier for all team members (Cherniss, 2018). All individuals will be involved in the planning process. Their opinions on various matters will be evaluated to help identify any weak areas and promote the participation of each member. Clear and concise communication strategies will be required to avoid confusion and complications arising from the operations (Kabeyi, 2019). The plan is aimed at achieving key goals in the institution; clear communication amongst members will resolve any unfamiliarity.
Board authorization
The sponsors of the Boys and Girls Club of North Mississippi include well-wishers, corporate partners, donors, and other stakeholders such as brands and companies involved in youth initiatives. The club’s board of directors includes one board chairman and nine other executive heads of various clubs in the Mississippi region (Club, Board of Directors, 2020). Other governing bodies, such as Samsung, Walmart, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, and other foundations, are the club’s partners. The public community is also involved in supporting the club’s initiatives by allowing the children to join in its activities and providing voluntary services. Some corporations are also primary beneficiaries of the club’s efforts since they engage in building the corporate social responsibility the firms have undertaken to support. The board will be in charge of authorizing the execution of the strategic plan.
The mission, vision, and values of the Boys and Girls Club of North Mississippi
The Boys and Girls Club of North Mississippi was founded in 1996 with a mission to motivate and encourage young individuals to achieve their maximum potential by being more caring, productive, and responsible citizens (Digital, 2020). Some of the club’s critical programs include arts, education and character development, health and life skills, and sports and recreation. The club mainly focuses on young individuals between the ages of six and eighteen who give them a safe space to engage in during the summer holidays or after school. The vision of the club is to produce premier youths by offering a wide range of comprehensive services for young people as well as their services. The mass community support in the Mississippi region has been beneficial to the club by investing in its activities and even volunteering training for the children (Club, 2020). The overall purpose of the club is to empower and develop the youth as well as end up creating a competent, influential individual. The club is founded on values they enforce, which include competency, reliability, honesty, and responsibility. The strategic plan will aid in implementing the mission, vision, and values upheld by the club.
Goals and strategies
The primary objective of the club’s strategic planning is to set goals and develop a tactical plan on how to achieve them (Yang, 2018). Based on the club’s mission and vision, it is evident that it has been operating sustainably due to the impact that has been achieved from the club’s participants. While the club is centered towards achieving a holistic approach to the young individuals, it is mentoring; the strategic plan will aid in setting clear priorities for its achievement. The strategic plan will involve connecting the club’s mission, vision, and plan to provide a concise direction on the measures that will be undertaken for the club to succeed. Allocation of resources will be enforced by the financial managers to ensure the full maximization of both the commercial and non-financial assets the club has. The strategic planning effort has undertaken an initiative to improve the organization’s activities and increase its impact to cater to more young individuals and boost its performance by increasing its programs and engaging more with the local community (George, 2019).
With proper communication strategies, the club members will be able to work unitedly hence promoting the club’s values (Vo, 2019). Since the club is a non-profit organization, the plan will help secure more support from partners, donors, and other stakeholders since it will outline the purpose of the funds in the club. Moreover, strategic planning will impact the direction undertaken by the club and offer a sense of guidance with regards to the objectives aimed to be achieved (Ong, 2015). It will be centered on meeting the club’s objectives and goals, hence specifically catering to its needs. The strategic plan will also aid in the management of the financial resources and enhance proper budgetary allocations; it will ensure that the financial aid is only directed at achieving organizational change hence reduce any wastages. With an increase in the number of young individuals in the region, the planning effort will be directed towards developing more exciting programs to attract more youthful individuals through conducting more community projects.
Organizational description.
The club is a chartered member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America; this will be the first organization involved in guiding in the strategic planning process to ensure that the plans are regulated in the club’s principles and guidelines (Mississipi, Who are we? 2020). Other stakeholders involved will be the club’s partners, who will share their contribution to the areas they consider need changes and how they can participate in the change intervention process. The Mississippi community should also be involved since they constitute the guardians, families, and supporters of the club (Mississipi, 2020). They will aid in enforcing the communal values that should be included in the strategic plan as well as offering volunteer services to mentor and teach young children. The club’s board members will oversee the decision-making processes, management, execution, and implementation of the strategic plan; hence they will be involved in giving feedback on areas that need improvement.
Strategic planning process
The first step will involve strategy formulation, this entails an assessment of the club’s current position, and it will be conducted through auditing its external and internal operations (Juneja, 2015). The audit results will help identify the key opportunities the club should focus on and the weak areas it can improve on. The mission statement will be revisited to help all members understand the primary purpose of the club. The vision statement will also be highlighted by all members to aid them in understanding the future goal of where the organization aims to be. The internet will facilitate the research process and aid in creating a reliable social media platform for the club. A portfolio and website will be formed to facilitate further establishment of the social aspects of the club. Communication technologies such as emails will be used to pass specific information from the club officials to its various stakeholders. Instant messaging options will be included on the website to aid users who have questions regarding the club. Feedback will be gathered through regular interviews and meetings held between the board members and other stakeholders.
